The Daniel Center, Inc

The Daniel Center is named to honor the memory of a kind and generous man named Daniel who returned home from Vietnam a different man.  Diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia upon his return from war, he lived in poverty, feeling shamed by the stigma of his mental illness.  Through battling his own demons, he always had money for charities or the homeless.  Daniel committed suicide in 2006

Our Mission Statement

The Daniel Center will be a place where  veterans can come to interact with other veterans, share experiences, give each other encouragement and support for transition back into society.

In the spirit of Daniel, we will create The Daniel Center in the historic and tranquil environment of  the Hudson Valley region located 90 miles north from  New York City

Who We Are

We are a group of caring professionals who will provide services as we  help them transition from the combat field to the backyard.

We will address issues faced by veterans with various therapeutic services.
